Steve tried to remove Tony from the bed, Tony decided to take part of the bed with him. 

It’s pretty much canon that Tony is an ass when he’s woken up early on the rare occasions that he does sleep. I imagine he’s the worlds biggest grump when he has to get up to save the world at odd hours.
